Privacy Policy
This policy explains what longbeachduffy.com collects, what it does not, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to calls to our public line. Bookings are handled by Peek under its own policy.
Who we are
London Boat Rentals, 186 N Marina Dr #4601, Long Beach, CA 90803. Phone (562) 598-2628. In this policy, “we” means London Boat Rentals.
What this website collects
This website has no accounts and no logins, and one form, the Sunset Alerts sign-up. Otherwise it collects only what a visit itself produces:
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 in consent mode, with every storage setting turned off by default. That means Google Analytics sets no cookies. It receives basic, cookieless signals, such as the page viewed and the type of device, which Google uses to estimate visits in aggregate.
- The Meta Pixel. We use Meta’s pixel to measure which pages and ads lead to bookings. It records page views and clicks on the Book Online buttons and sets a first-party cookie (
_fbp) that Meta uses to recognize the same browser. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the pixel does not load at all. - Hosting logs. Our host, Netlify, processes standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- The map. On the contact page, Google Maps loads only if you choose to open the map. Until then, nothing is sent to Google from that page.
- Sunset Alerts. If you sign up, we keep your mobile number and a record of your consent (the wording you agreed to and when) so we can text you about sunset availability. The texts come from London Boat Rentals through our texting provider. Reply STOP to any text and we stop texting you. We do not sell or share your number.
- The chat. If you use Ask Chelsea, what you type is sent through our host to Anthropic, whose AI writes Chelsea’s replies, and Anthropic handles it under its own commercial terms. The chat does not ask for your name or contact details, and we do not keep the conversation: it stays in your browser tab until you close the tab. Please don’t type payment details or anything private into it.
Apart from a Sunset Alerts sign-up, we do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers or payment details on this website.
What happens when you book
The Book Online buttons hand you to Peek, the booking system we use. What you enter there (your name, contact details and payment) is collected by Peek and shared with us so we can run your rental. Peek’s handling of that information is covered by Peek’s privacy policy. We use your booking details to run your rental and to contact you about it.
So that the booking window opens quickly, Peek’s booking script loads once you start scrolling or tapping on a page, and it sets Peek’s own cookies under Peek’s policy. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, it does not load in the background; the Book Online buttons take you to Peek’s site instead.
When you call us
Calls to (562) 598-2628 may be recorded and transcribed so we can follow up on what you asked. Some calls are answered by an automated assistant on our behalf. You are told both things at the start of the call, before anything else happens.
How we use information
- To run bookings and answer questions.
- To understand which pages and ads lead people to book, so we spend less on what does not work.
- To keep the website working and secure.
We do not sell personal information for money. Under California law, letting Meta’s pixel run on this website may count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out of that sharing at any time (see below).
Your choices and your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you have the right to:
- know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use it;
- ask us to delete it, or to correct it if it is wrong;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information;
- not be treated differently for using any of these rights.
To opt out of sharing, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser or with a browser extension. We honor it automatically: the Meta Pixel does not load. You can also block cookies in your browser settings.
To make any other request, call (562) 598-2628. We will confirm we received it and answer within the time California law allows. We may need to verify your identity first.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
How long we keep information
Booking records are kept as long as we need them to run our business and meet our legal and tax obligations. Analytics reports are kept in aggregate form.
Changes to this policy
