Why don’t we post reviews here?
Because reviews mean most where anyone can check them. Google and Yelp show reviews with their dates and the reviewers’ histories, and we cannot edit them. Copying a handful onto our own site would show you only the ones we picked. The badges above link to the full lists instead.
What should you look for when you read boat rental reviews?
A few things tell you more than the star average:
- Recent reviews. Staff, boats and prices change over time. The last few months tell you about the business you will actually meet.
- The day and time. A Saturday afternoon in July and a Wednesday in March are different experiences on any waterfront. Look for reviews from days like yours.
- What the problem was. A one-star review about a long wait on a holiday weekend tells you to book early. A pattern of the same complaint tells you more.
- How the business answered. Replies show whether a company listens.
- Photos. Guest photos show the real boats and the real bay, not just marketing pictures.
How can you avoid the most common frustrations?
Most of what goes wrong on any busy waterfront is about timing, and most of it is avoidable:
- Book ahead, especially for weekends, holidays and sunset start times, and book every boat your group needs at once.
- Arrive 30 minutes early with your whole party, so parking and check-in do not eat into your time on the water.
- Check the tide if the Naples Canals matter to you; the tides page shows the week ahead.
- Know the rules before the day: the renter and driver are 21 or older, and each boat carries up to 12 people, babies included. The rules and packing list covers the rest.
- Read the weather policy. All sales are final. If weather closes the bay, we move your rental to another day.
How do you leave a review?
After your trip, find London Boat Rentals on Google Maps or Yelp and choose “Write a review.” Say when you went, how many were in your group and what you did, because that detail is what helps the next guest decide. Photos help even more.
If something went wrong, we would rather hear about it while you are still at the dock, so we have a chance to put it right. Call (562) 598-2628, or tell the staff before you leave.
What do the numbers mean?
4.2 stars across 384 Google reviews is the average of the reviews on our Google listing, across busy holidays and quiet weekdays alike. 1,200+ Yelp reviews reflects guests writing about us there over the years. Neither number is something we control, which is the point.
Where else can you see what a trip looks like?
Our photo gallery shows the boats, the bay and the dogs, all taken at London Boat Rentals. Our Instagram, @londonboatrentals, has more from day to day on the water. And the fleet page lists exactly what is on board, so you know what to expect before you arrive.
What if you have a question a review does not answer?
Ask us directly. Call (562) 598-2628 about the tide on your date, a large group, a dog, or anything else, and you will get an answer from the people who run the boats. The FAQ covers the questions we hear most.
